I have had that tab break on a couple. I tig weld a piece of tig wire in there never have broken one again. I also soak the drive in Pb blaster for a day and just wip it off. 31,000 on one. Did 25,00 on my own. May also try to eBay a spare new one.

 

I've taken a punch to what's left after the tab breaks off and beat it down into the slot in the wheel. Worked fine and got me a good while longer on that drive.
