Hello,

I would like to add a fuel gauge to my '99 Heritage. I found this fuel gauge on the HD website for a Sportster fuel gauge.

Has anyone here tired to adapt something like this for the 99 Evos or is there an alternative short of having to rely on odometers?

Run it until you go on reserve. Gauges are notoriously inaccurate.

 

I always start looking for gas between 120 and 150 miles. Depending on the ride that leaves me with anywhere from a gallon to a half a gallon before reserve. I figure that is a good way of playing the game. I always have more fuel left than I expect at that point as well.

 

For $300 I'll unscrew the cap and rock the damn bike.

 

That kit is interesting. Is your bike fuel injected? The sender is made to attach to the fuel pump:

It looks like the actual display replaces the top of the brake MC. I doubt your MC is the same shape, so that would have to be Aggie Rigged too.
