The rear system on the 92 FLHTC I'm going back together with was a mess. Looked like somebody mixed fluids, added some water, and made mud. Rebuilt the master cylinder, caliper, and flushed the lines. Reassembled it and bled it... Brakes work great, but won't release. Swapped the caliper from my FXR to test, and they work well and release as expected. Here's some pics of the caliper that won't release. What do y'all think.... Hone or replace?
Leaning that way. May head to Bud's tomorrow and see what's there. And if it's reasonable.
Call Central tomorrow and see what the price is on a new one.
Then tell Aron that you'll only give him 1/2 of the new price for a used one.
Just my 2 cents.
I really didn't think that would work, but it did. Honed the heck out of it and installed new pads. Piston went in much easier, and works really well. Full release.
Now my project can both go and stop. Time to start hanging tins and lights and stuff.
