Maybe he is keeping the stock rears and upgrading the pads?
Anyway, sure is a pretty pile of parts.

Those pads won't fit the rear.

Well then in my best Gilda Radner impression, "never mind."

Great! Thankfully the caliper comes with pads then. Looks like I am going back to the drawing board for the pads ... live and learn I guess.

All I am doing is the front brakes, not touching the rears as yet.

THC, want some new pads

I think they sent you the wrong pads.
If I recall correctly the link you posted of the pads you were getting looked nothing like that.

Yeah, that should be something to see huh! What I am thinking is to take the rotor and bike to a local shop and have them put the rotor on. I can then do the rest, even if it means using the pads that come with the caliper, which (now) would make sense.

To be honest, I didn't give getting the front wheel off the ground a second thought until I went out to see what I was going to need, tool wise. Too keen to get the parts. Actually, I am heading up to Utica to Hillside in the next day or so to see Scott about the build, might ask him if he could do it while I waited. All he can do is say no, right.

And before anyone gets on my case about not doing it myself (the rotor) I have to be practical about it, and lets face it, that's probably the easiest part to change out

Harbor Freight has their Jack on sale for 89 bucks. Once you've worked with a jack or even better, a lift table, you'll never go back. So says my back.
