I just thought I'd post this since I've read here that you should use the stock cam gear. It's not always the best choice. A stock cam makes less noise and can be set up with looser tolerances. So if you put an Andrews cam in your bike with the stock gear it's possible you might get a lot of noise. If Its noisy it might be because the gear has to much backlash. If you can check it with a dial indicator. I was surprised.
the general rule on this forum is use the stock gear and that works for most.
but thats not my rule i always check the backlash no more than .002 no less than .0005

i know its hard for most to check this without proper tools and not every one has access to all the different pinions. i think thats the main reason everyone says use the old gear.

Glad to hear you like your EV13, and got it sorted. I got one sitting on the shelf waiting to go into mine.

You'll learn it a lot quicker if you sit back and read instead of giving advice on topics you have no experience with.

Didn't offer advice, I asked a question, thought was extra zero there. I do learn when I read posts from "D" , now I know don't just " swap the gear" like most say to do...Back under my rock I go...
