Front brake lever has zero resistance. Nada. Zip. Nuthin'...

No brake fluid on the floor. Master was rebuilt last spring. Do you all think I just need to bleed the brakes again?

Easiest/cheapest fix first, and all that.

Did you check to see if you have fluid?
That is about the only way you can get air in the lines is pump it there.
My bet is on a bad master.

Haven't checked anything yet. And the master cylinder was rebuilt last spring. Front brake was a bit spongy when I put the bike up for the winter. Yesterday I checked and the lever goes all the way back to the grip. No resistance what so ever.

I picked up some DOT 5 brake fluid today, along with some 3/16" tubing and will take a look at it tomorrow. I also have a Mite-vac on the way, should be here Wednesday.

Open it up and see what's in there. If they were feeling spongy when you put her up there could have been an air pocket in there that finally worked it's way up to the reservoir. Just might need to be topped off. When you use the mighty vac keep an eye on the fluid you pull out so you don't run the reservoir empty and pull more air into the system.

Dual fronts can be testy when bleeding. What works for me is to walk away after securing the lever back to the grip. All good in the AM.

Red face

Bleeding brakes can be a bl**ding trial! Best pray to all your gods, wait for the stars in the heavens to align just so, take a deep breath and.......

I've been bleeding the darned things for over 40 years now and still haven't found a fool-proof way. Some times they will bleed in a blink, using a hose and jam jar, and be rock hard as if that is normal. Other times it's best to walk away and come back later, when the blood pressure has lowered and try again. I have several instruments of torture that supposedly make it a breeze, but that is evil propaganda, designed to relieve a fool from his wealth......
