As in the sticky......fused wire from the + battery to terminal 30 of the relay. Works a treat now.
Any suggestions as to what size fuse I should be using?
20 amp.

I'm not sure how your getting on, but I just had the same problem on my 94 FXSTC.

How old are your ignition leads?

I replaced mine and cleaned the plugs up and that sorted it.

Try the cheapest route first?

Mad Dog.......... nothing wrong with the HT Leads, if I switch them on the coil the spark switches from one side to the other.

Only possibility is one of the terminals on the coil isn't producing a spark.

Got hold of a second hand Harley coil to check this was my problem and to keep as a spare.

Worked a treat, however not sure I want to keep it on there permanently.

Was looking at some new Drag Specialities Ignition Coils, anyone had experiences with these?

They do a 3ohm and a 5ohm........assume I need the 3 ohm?

Yeah... I think you want to go with a Genuine H.D. coil, or if people like Crane, well, OK. Drag Specialties aftermarket stuff might be OK and might be cheap Chinese crap. They kinda have a history of the later for a lot of things and the former for a few, and I don't buy enough parts to know which is which with the aftermarket stuff. So if your choice is DS or HD, wait a bit and get the HD.

I replaced my coil recently because I found a good deal on one and mine appeared to be the original.

I ordered a screaming eagle coil and plug wires from Surdyke for a song and a dance.

I still have my original coil laying around as a spare.

You need the 5 ohm if you are running a dual fire coil.
HD coils usually last a long time.
I wouldn't get a generic Drag Specialtys electronic part (I have had bad experiences with their electronic stuff).
