Or a pushrod in the wrong location, or worse, a bent pushrod due to improper installation of the lower rocker support (cam not on heel, not bled down before rotating crank etc.).

Did all that. Ive done this sort of thing quite a few times with the shovel head.
The bike has just over 12000 miles on it. The oil pump is strong, the lifters are not bad. Maybe the push rods are in the wrong spot but I doubt it. I labeled everything before I took them out. Im gonna tear into it again tomorrow and check everything. It is possible I bent something when I put it together. Its hard to say, everything went back together really easily. Thanks for the help.

Just a thought. Before you tear it apart I could see the pushrod color labels on mine if I slide the covers down they were labeled at the top. With a flashlight you might be able to check the order without tearing it apart again. Also, if you can if you post a video I'm sure someone here will have more ideas as to what you could check.

Acronym for color order,
***** bought yields gonorrhea.

Also check for things like springs hitting rocker boxes, pushrods hitting inside top of tubes.

Thanks guys.
I tried to see the colour code with a flashlight and it aint happening .
Im positive I put them in the right spot anyway. I got some adjustable push rods here. Im gonna throw them in and see if that helps. I checked the rocker boxes and nothing is hitting anything.
Its driving me crazy though so I won't stop until I figure it out.

Just wanted to thank everyone who answered.
I ripped it all apart and installed the new pushrods.
I didn't notice before but the rocker boxes have some play in them when the bolts are loose. They need to be centered before you tighten them up.
3 turns on the adjustable rods and bamm!!
Its way better, not nearly as much racket.
The bike has way more low end with this cam. I was really surprised.
Last year I rebuilt the top end because of a leaky base gasket. At that time I put a Mikuini hsr42 on it. That made a difference, a lot more snap.
Nothing like this cam though, major difference.

Thanks again.
