Default What seats will fit????

I have a '88 Ultra and want to have a different seat for when the tour pack is off. What other years will fit my bike? There don't seem to be a lot of options for the '88.

Good Luck. Anything that is still listed pretty much starts with '89. Don't know what the difference is between an '88 and '89 though. You'd be surprised what would fit off of newer bikes. If you have any riding buddies with a seat you like, ask if you can try to see how it fits your bike.

You are quite right, there are not many options for your model year. Unfortunately there were not many made back then (less than 50k in total per year, compared with around 300k per year these days). The long established firms like Mustang and Corbin may still be able to make one that will fit, but contact them direct.

Ditto. I just got a Mustang solo seat and bib. I like them very much.

so far i have found out that the 86-88 takes its own unique seat as it bolts to the passenger grab rails, before that they bolted to frame after that the bolted to rear fender. was told i can make a seat up to 96 fit if i drill hole in rear fender for rear seat bolt. i too want a change and guess i will just buy something close and make it work. I have been looking all winter so far and there is not a direct bolt on if seat attaches to grab bar unless you buy another stock seat for your dresser

I have a 90 Electra glide classic my buddy has a 03 ultra his seat dosent fit but I can either drill a hole in rear fender or move his front bracket on seat back about a inch and it will fit. Imo if your handy with tools most of them can be made to fit

moerule s..... I've found the same problem looking for a direct bolt on.

There's nothing wrong with the stock seat. I just want something a little more low profile for riding around town.

crazydawgs...... I work with tools and my hands everyday. I'm a plumber. Besides I have access to all kinds of tools. I may see if I can find a seat cheap of ebay of craigslist and modify it.
