If I needed one I would probably still pull the primary just to have the room to work easier.

I like the 2 tension points on the better leaver a lot more than the single one on the stock shifter.

Yeah, it's really a quality piece. Niche market manufacturers don't enjoy economies of scale.

And don't worry, Iron Classic..... Twinkies don't need 'em. You can pull the rear shifter lever off a twinkie without pulling the inner primary. Not so with an Evo.

You sure about that? (I hope you're right!)

You made me check. Seems it's the six speeds that clear the primary. Five speeds for either motor, you need to pull the primary. Or dremel it off.

100% agree. I have had ongoing probs over the last 3 years with old + new OEM Lever/s. Betterlever is quite expensive but should give peace of mind + save a lot of time & $$$ if you have to strip down Inner Primary etc.to replace or repair original Lever.
ps. $250 shipped to Scotland UK.

Yipee! Betterlever arrived today. Its a well engineered item and although relatively expensive I have to say that Im really happy to have bought it and will be fitting it soon.
After my extensive rebuild of the Ultra can you imagine how I would have felt if I had retained the old Lever having it fail again, prompting the necessary stripdown of inner primary etc. etc. etc., to get into the old lever again.
What a thought! Betterlevers got to be a winner. Bungo
