CV carb choke mount
I am getting ready to swap a CV carb onto my 88 FLHS. My question is about the choke mount. Does anyone have a pic of a stock mount on a touring bike or what you did to mount it?
I am thinking I can slot my mounts that I have now and make it work but am wondering what it should look like, and cant find any pics in my parts or service manual.

That mount looks similar to the one I had. It looks like an upside sown U. The bracket mounts to the bolts that the engine mount is on. Horn and choke cable are attacked to that. Am getting ready to fabricate my own, as this part is now obsolete from HD. I can take a picture of what it looks like on my bike on how it is set up if you like, although I don't have a touring bike, it's a Wide Glide. But since it is broken you can see how it is mounted and how everything is attached quite well.

Easy enough to fabricate, but if you use the stock plastic nut or not, you don't want to overtighten it - takes very little to hold it and will strip if you do. (according to the manual)
You can fob the **** too - I thought my Heritage looked something like a buffalo...so we call her "Buffalo Gal" and I put this on my ****, with a bit of filing and epoxy:
I got the idea from some guys who used pennies the year of Harley's inception on theirs.
