Default Shocks for 99 Fatboy

My bike was lowered 1 in. When I bought it. When I hit a good bump it bottoms out.
Are these Progressive shocks worth the money enough for a noticeable difference?
Or is there a more practical shock for a old bike? But I'm on it all the time!

All depends on your riding style, if you're just a day cruiser that enjoys a nice little ride yeah the OEM's work great. However I would never lower a fat boy, they're low enough to begin with so your just shooting yourself on the suspension.. Now if you like to ride aggressively and really enjoy it, yeah the 422s are very good.. I actually am running the heavy duty 422's and I like them, a lot and I'm only 160 lbs..

Mine was lowered by a previous owner also and after two back surgeries, I need to lose them.
After pricing new, I am looking for a set of used OEM.

The factory shocks on my 1993 FLSTC were starting to bottom out shortly after I bought it used so I had a shop install a set of Progressive 422's and they've been a constant pain in the *** literally. Squeezing out bushings, a broken shock bolt, and not very comfortable even at the softest setting. BUT, come to find out that the ones that were installed were by the shop were the heavy duty models for heavy two up riding. Not real good for solo riding. Plus they weren't evenly adjusted. Seeing as we're in a cold spell I'm going to see if I can get a set of standard weight springs from Progressive and swap them out in place of my heavy springs.
