I'm gonna make you a racehorse deal. You come over to my house and clean the spokes on any wheel you want. If you haven't made you mind up after one wheel, i'll let you do another.

Left spokes and tube tire behind long a go. I know some spoke rims will take tubeless tires. I have seen that fail a few times. Comes down to what you want and what you are willing to deal with.

'98 FLTR came with mags. Always had spokes on other bikes so I built two with billet hubs, Indian black anodized rims and stainless spokes. After having to replace broken spokes a couple of times I went to '00 wagon wheels. It was worth it to not have to be concerned about my wheels at 80-85 MPH a thousand miles from home.

i love the look of spoke wheels but hate the process of keeping them clean. my fatboy wheels have to be the easiest to keep clean i have owned. a quick polish with some mothers mag and aluminum polish in the spring and just wipe them down from time to time through out the season.

I have spokes on all mine because mags wouldn't look right ... on mine. They tend to lose air quicker than mags, but I always check tire pressure anyway out of habit. Cleaning spokes have never been an issue. If I had a bike better suited for mags, style wise, the problem becomes choosing the right mags. There are many many funky looking mags out there. Choose wisely grasshopper.

IMO I want nothing to do with tubes in tires, or trying to polish between spokes!! Spokes look nice, but are a pain in the *** to maintain!

You'll never see a mag do this.

Oh yes you will ... I've seen some seriously neglected wheels over the years
