Default 97 WG - Mid Controls - Carlini Torque Arm

Trying to install mid controls on a 97 WG with a Carlini Torque Arm (CTA) and a D&D Fatcat exhaust. Added the exhaust for information and not sure if it is an issue.

Eyeing the brake side mid control, it appears there may be a fitment issue with the CTA and maybe the exhaust.

Does anyone have pictures of a Dyna with mids and a CTA? Or do they not fit with the CTA?

Not trying to bust your ***** or anything but what is a CTA really worth? I haven't seen anything that would prove wether it's worth it or not.. I have found in my past experiences that sometimes add-ons can create issues that wouldn't normally be there and that's why I asked whether it's worth it or not...

A torque arm is only possibly needed on the first years of the Dyna and really only heavily supped up engines.

On a relatively stock EVO Dyna.....its just a chrome piece in the way.

They sold tons of those CTA's back in the day. That said, I bet the one for a Wide Glide was different then the same year for a Low Rider/Super Glide with mids. If you want to keep it, do the research and see if they made two versions, then source the other one that maybe works with Mids.

Or as stated, just get rid of the thing, it is likely doing next to nothing. My '97 with some mild speed mods never had one and I have never thought to get one. Good luck.

They were actually available for all Evo models, even with SE branding. It's too long ago to recall the details, but I'm pretty sure mid-peg versions were available. I had one for my Glide, but it wouldn't fit my S&S engine.

Mines not a Dyna but I've nearly doubled HP and torque on my 80 ci FLHS and I run a Carlini torque arm for the simple reason it keeps the primary from flexing.

The best explanation of the CTA I've heard is that:
It solves a problem that didn't exist...
