Default Oil Tank Drain Line

Does the oil tank drain hose on a 1990 Heritage get secured by the frame clip or does the plug just sit in there? I tried to get the hose to fit but it doesn't. The plug still moves around while in the clip. I'm new to old Heritages so maybe someone can enlighten me. The bike vibrates a fair amount at speed so I was curious about the clip. Thanks.

If you want you can bend that clip out so that the hose will fit into it.
Personally I don't really worry about it.

Yup, that's what mine has. Just sits there in the clip to keep it from flopping around.
