look forward to the weekend and riding with all of you.
as far as riding better its true and it was proved when my wife, then GF came to the states, and without blowing my own horn, she was the only one able to keep up with me in the hills/Mtns of TN/NC. and she was on rented wore out Softail POS!

The other options, Kesstech and Akropovic are equally as OUCH as the J&H. The J&H are the better sounding of the 3 though IMO...

As for the better rider argument, I've seen plenty of excellent riders in the EU, and plenty of dumbass ones as well...but its true the training is longer and more intensive.

Jason are you military? I still have my Bassani's on my SG. I didn't have a problem with the inspection on post. Although he did warm me I could get a ticket. Been here a year, no issues. Also are you doing the Edelweiss Ride the Alps Weekend? 7-9 June?

Aside from the great riding in general, there is...

In regards to the "Faakersee HOG rally". It is actually called "European Bike Week". It is definitely not only a HOG rally. Harley village is mostly HOG but if you are not into the "HOG scene" there are other area's of the lake, such as Arnietz, that party a lot harder (stripper tents, bands, go-go girls, burnout contests, etc), it gets pretty wild if that is more your style. I went last year and it rocked!

Round here its reffered to as Faakersee Hog Rally, or just Faakersee. But you're absolutely right in that it is way more than a Hog Rally. more like a euro Sturgis!

And there are lots of really good rallies that have nothing to do with HOG... Look at the Breda rally in the Netherlands.
