Default advice on noisy cams for 110

I have a 2010 cvo street glide which I believe has SE 255 cams in it but they are pretty noisy , Ive had the bike for 3 years now and it has 25,000 miles on it , I don't know if its me thinking they are getting louder or if they really are getting louder but its really bothering me of late , I know when I bought it I thought it was quite loud and actually went back to the dealer to say somethings wrong and he said it was the 255 cams and he had the same bike and even fired up his and sure enough his sounded the same so off I went , Now I'm wondering are there other cams on the market that would give me the same performance or better of course but are quieter , Thanks for any input , Mark

Not wanting to be a kill-joy, but one of the last times we had a "normal" noise from a 110" come in here, the lifters were coming un-glued, and had already hurt the rear cylinder cam.

Plenty of cams out there that will make more power

As already suggested...If you are noticing the thing getting louder you might want to find out why ...chances are you have a lifter problem.

I found after 25-30,000 miles the lifts tend to get louder.... But lifters are cheap. I would say drop a nice set of cams new lifters and new bearings in and run that and don't worry about noise after that. Cams are 400$ labor 300$ bearing 20$" lifters 125 $

I know some will say that "Perfect Fit" pushrods are perfect but, for me I prefer adjustable and I have found in my own work that the adjustable pushrods will be quieter.

My bet is the cam install was with perfect fit pushrods....

I ran the stock 110 255 cams in fatbob with no excessive valve train noise. This is CVO 110. I installed the redshift 527 zippers performance cams and valve train noise is loud. Went to Harley shop and listened to a stage 4 -103 which was very similar. Did bike trip with no issues. I run a TMAX, VH propipe in this 110 and swapped out cams last winter to redshift. I don't like the cams. So I will go to 10.5 compression ratio and anyone got some ideas. Just want it reliable. Yes should have paid attention to the forum guys talking about the 113cI package.
