Default Painting engine?

Taking engine out this week. Was thinking about painting it when I put it back in. Has anyone used VHT Engine Enamel on a Harley and how does it hold up?

I did my silver heads using VHT Motorsport case paint, close match to the HD black. I primed mine with VHT engine primer & masked the fin edges with 3m fine line masking tape. Cured with a heat gun.Holding up great after 3k miles.

I used vht 550 degree gm satin black.. Great color not dull and not shinny. It held up well but I just just a big bore kit and new heads so I did all the work for nothing

The satin black looks good. If I was doing a whole engine I'd use the satin black.

customsoftail200, you should do the painting before installing in the frame. Clean the with acetone, paint prep. Primer should be used.
