Default Do u use thread locker on rocker arms

My book seems to say when to use and not to use the blue lock tight but it says nothing about using it on the bolts that hold the rockers in. There 4 big bolts that hold the rocker assembly at 22 foot pounds

I've never used it on rocker support bolts. (And never had anything come loose in the motor either...)

Nope, not even on the rocker boxes. The gaskets offer enough tension.

the service manual states loctite on the 6 bolts of the lower rocker boxes and on the bolts for the covers you will notice a light yellow color on the threads when first remove thats the factory colored thread locker.

had a buddy last year change his heads and had only 3000 miles on it and it developed a leak on the rear rocker box he stopped to show me. so we took it apart to find rocker bolts loose he said he never used loctite on them, apply some and torqued to spec and did the front as well. leak stopped.
