Question 107" upgrade = slight oil seepage?

I did my FM 107" upgrade several weeks ago, and she hasn't seen a lot of miles yet, mostly around town due to the weather. I did do a few heat cycles, and I've been mostly taking it easy on it, but also did the motoman break in (3rd gear, up to 60, let off, lather-rinse-repeat a number of times. I was in the garage yesterday cleaning things up and also working on a wiring issue on my street glide, and I noticed I've got a slight bit of oil seepage from the bottom of the cylinders. Is this normal with new cylinders? Should I re-torque the heads?

Any thoughts or advice would be welcome..

did you install both cylinder deck dowel O-rings, and new O-rings on bottoms on the cylinders? if so wash off with some brake cleaner. residue oil from when installing cylinders keep and eye on it. should not have to retorque.

Yes, all of those o-rings went in. I'll clean them up and keep and watch for more oil - and hopefully there will be none. It's just a bit unsettling to see the oil seeping (and there's not a lot, just a very thin film, so it's not like it's pouring out or anything, but still..

Thanks!

Yes you could have a lil residual oil between the jugs and case, it's the o ring that makes the seal.

Pretty common if you lubed the head studs, the residual oil will run down and seep out between the jug and case which has no seal

No worries OP. I did the same thing and it took about 5000 miles before it stopped oozing.
