Clam's 97" buildup
#21
i got the same kit except i went with 570 crane gear drive cam the bike runs great..i have v&h true duals just had it dyno tuned last week 79hp 91.36 tq i was hoping for somewhere around 90 hp and 110tq thats what Todd and i talked about.. my 99 ultra runs good im going to change to a 2 into 1 tuned exhaust and have it dynoed again.. i have 2000 miles on my bike did the work myself and no problems how did yours turn out
Just got my bike dyno'd this past weekend, pulled 92 hp, and 99 ft/lb torque (with a basic off the shelf PC map recommended by Todd). I was impressed. I also was told I definitely would benefit from a tune as my air fuel ratios were all over the place both too rich and too lean. Your numbers seem a little low especially considering you already got a precise tune. How many miles are on your clutch, and is it stock? I wonder if your getting a little clutch slippage ? The stock clutch probably won't be able to handle 100/100 hp/tq of your new kit especially if the clutch has some heavy miles on it. I upgraded to the Barnett "extra plate kit" and a Barnett spring. Rob's Dyno did mine, and he is "the man" with reguards to HD tuning here in New England. Rob advance tunes each individual cylinder . I also have V&H 2" straight shots with Thunder City Monster baffles. Rob commented he sees excellent flow with the TC baffles.
