Default Lifter orientation

Assembling a twin cam. The manual is not specific regarding the orientation of the lifters to the oil holes. Some of the after market cams direct you to align the holes in the lifters with the holes in the block.
Have not found anything that states specifically except to install them how you removed them. I didn't remove them. Any help?

It doesn't matter when installing new lifters. They say to install old one like they came out because of the wear pattern. Are the lifters new?

Thanks. Both cams and lifters have less than 100 miles on them so there shouldn't be much of a wear pattern. Might try to line up the holes just for grins. From what I have read it can't hurt anything.

You should be fine either way.
