Default Instrument lights coming on

Need some help here... out riding last night on my 08 FXDC Dyna Super Glide Custom and my check engine lamp started coming on randomly. Then after a few more miles down the road the check engine lamp stayed on and the battery discharge lamp came on and stayed on as well. Not sure what is going on since I haven't noticed any other issues.

I know I will need to take it into my indy shop but was hoping someone has had an issue like this and can point me in the right direction on resolving it.

Thanks

had a o7 duece did that was the voltage regulator, took some time to find out it was the regulator 2 different dealres had it and since it worked some times it took a old time mechanic to fiqure it out, also you might check the battery cagbles and make sure they are tight

Well here is the latest on my issue: I checked the DTC codes from my bikes odometer and it showed both codes for high and low charging. At that point the bike would not even start. Based upon some reading on this forum and a few others I had a clue that the stator was an issue along with the voltage regulator. I have an extended warranty on the bike so took it into the dealership which also confirmed my diagnosis. They said the extended warranty will cover this (thank goodness! Finally an extended warranty that actually paid off). I will only need to pay out of pocket for a new battery and the deductible. The only problem... the dealership did not have a voltage regulator in stock and when they called to order it from the factory they said they were on backorder. I have no clue how long it may take to get a new one and now I am going through seperation anxiety while my baby sits at the dealership. Could be worse I guess.
