Default Excess heat from Samson true-duals

I just installed Samson's FL2-323 True-duals. Overall, not too difficult to install, they look and sound great. My only problem is that the rear cylinder pipe gets so hot that if I am not careful when I put my left leg down it BURNS my leg and it's gotten too close to my junk. What can I do to reduce the heat? I've got the Samson heat "shield" and I even put pipe heat tape and it's still to hot. Help me from frying my junk. Thanks

get a good tune done on the bike and you're likely to see some of that heat go away.

It's running lean.More fuel cools cylinders down, therefore less heat.
