C'mon George, they are fun to play with...Give them half throttle and let them think they got something.....then whack it wide open, wait for tire to stop spinnin, and pull away from him like a slingshot.....lol I know you have done that before!!

so how much diferance in price is there between the SE 103
and one of your 117" builds? The reason I ask is, money may be of no object
to some but to those of us that live pay day to pay day might be screwed.
How much money for the 117'' build? If you say "call me" then I rest my case

Can't say "call me" as that could be considered advertising, but in the world of Harley performance, the dealer builds are mighty low on the totem pole. I am NOT saying your build, but dealer builds as a rule of thumb. Nothing personal. We see it very often here, and address the inherent issues as needed.
We are not made of money either, and that is a prime concern, when attending to the needs of the client here.

I have some experience with these and find that a 117 or 124 with all the best parts assembled is around 8 grand. A very quick and dependable 107" tuned for around 6- 6,500.

Pricing can certainly vary, depending on several factors. Prime example is,
what some consider the best parts, may not be, what others have witnessed.

Default 88ci

If I understood the question correctly, you want to Mod your 88 CID motor and get over 100 CID. I believe you can bore that 88 out to 95, the rest you'd need to get in stroke, So probably yes, cost of boring, new pistons, and rings, and stoker kit, then of course you'll want a cam, heavy duty springs, a beefier clutch, and an all ***** starter. So, add it all up, with labor. Then decide if this is cheaper.

Very interesting . . . Either of those looks the best way to go if I blew a motor out completely on a scoot . . . but to build up an HD motor on a pre-owned I buy, perhaps I should start by buying a pre-owned 2007 at the best price I can find . . . then work that engine up to where I want to be . . . looks like I could do more building up with the 96ci motor than with the 88ci motor in a 2005 HD . . . am I right?
