Default Vance and Hines baffle removal

Does anyone have any info on how to remove the baffles on my Vance and Hines Bigshot Longs? I want to put in the new quite baffles but I want to be sure I can get the old ones out before I spend the money for the new baffles. The bike is only 9 mos. old and has a little over 5K miles. Seems like I heard you have to take off the shields first????? Can't find any info on V & H website. Any help or instructions?

Depends on whether the button head screw that holds the baffles in place is covered up by the heat shields or not. I've had two different styles of V & H pipes. One style covered the screws, the other did not. The screw will probably be on the inside radius of the pipe.
