Agreed, and like I said though with all the carbon that was on top of the piston it definitely would have showed something but I never saw anything..

 

So I got the rocker support plate back on today and am much happier with the rocker geometry on the valves.. Looks a hell of a lot better than the other heads.. Yes I loctited everything.. lol.. I also confirmed that none of my lifters seem to be bad.. It took a good 15 minutes to bleed down after setting a preload of 27 flats..
Now I'm just waiting on the OEM head pipe to come back, I'm putting 18 mm bugs in it.. I decided to go back to that head pipe because the inlet diameter is much bigger than that older hooker two in one by .200".. I'll also be using the rush slip-ons that have louvered baffles at 2 1/4"... I think that'll suit this bill just fine...
