You can use online parts microfiche to compare what parts look like for different models and years, and also compare part numbers to see what parts interchange between models.

Buy an exhaust system that was actually designed to fit your bike.
That "One size fits all" pipe you have just isn't the one that actually fits.
Option 2: Buy the Road King you mention so you get the oil fill location you want.
The Fat Bob and Road King might "look" similar to you, but they are completely different bikes.

The transmission housings are different for Dynas and Touring bikes. The touring oil pan extends behind the transmission which is why it's possible to put the oil filler there.
On a Dyna the oil pan is located directly under the transmission which is why the oil filler sits between the engine and the transmission. There is no room for a filler behind the transmission and there is no oil pan underneath for the filler to attach to.
Softails have a separate oil tank up under the seat, and the oil filler is located in that oil tank.
