I wouldn't do it, but if you are dead set on doing it look at getting a 12v valve and wire it in to the ignition so when you the bike on it automatically opens,

I remember someone saying the wavy washer in the stock pump keeps it from draining. R&R said they're on drugs tho and it has nothing to do with it. Just depends on where the gerators stop.
Although it is impossible to have an intelligent conversation with me, i can assure you that the wave washer was to prevent the oil from draining to the crankcase on Beta engines. It's all good though, we can put R&R in with the post you reposted from an XL forum about spark plugs and ion sense and wrap a tidy bow on it!

See there ya go. One guy had an issue with NGKs, probably because he didn't know enough to use the ones the tips screw off of, and you convince him NGKs cause problems with the ion sense.
Get over it ed. lol You can't assure me of anything after that nonsense.
All that popcorn is bad for you max.

Sadly sir, you have misrepresented that entire discussion. Looks like Marco had a few opinions about your posts and I attempted to get good info out there as well. But just to set the record straight, I believe point #3 shows what I said. This is really fun, can we do this some more????

You know gunner, I don't think you know how hilarious this is.. You buy the fancy-dancy oil pump and think you won't have anything blowing out the breathers..

Right now stock or even SE ain't looking so bad..

The issue is that the Thayer pump and others don't work well with tanks mounted above the pump.. You can try and tighten the side play one the feed gerotors but you'll never match the wavy washer and 2 flat plates that the HD stuff utilizes unless add some hooky clamp or valve..
