Default Stock oil cooler to Jagg oil cooler

Has anyone here switched from a stock 6 row Harley oil cooler to a 10 row Jagg? I Just finished a 107 bb with higher compression on my 2013 Electra glide. I was wondering if the bigger cooler would be a good idea or is it a waste of money? I don't often get stuck in traffic since I live in a more rural setting. Not looking at any jug fans at this time just interested in the bigger oil cooler. I googled the subject but didn't come up with much on swaping the stock cooler for the bigger one.

Yes, I did exactly that change to my 2014 Ultra. I added a 10 row Jagg cooler. Now can I tell any difference? No, I don't run a oil temp guage. My thinking was the little extra bit of cooling capacity can't hurt. I also added the extra capacity S/E oil pan for the same reason. My next project will be a thermostat controlled fan.

Run both coolers. Get the Jagg Slim Liine that mounts to the left side down tube and hook it up in "series" with the Harley cooler. I live in south Texas where it gets really hot a couple of months out of the year; plenty of 100*+ days. I ran the HD low mount and the Jagg Slim Line to keep my oil temps down in the hotter days. I don't see a huge advantage of the 10 row over the 6 row but that's JMHO.

I run 10 row jagg on all builds. On touring you can tie them in together, but I have to believe the best option is to go big (10 row) and vertical off the down tube. Hanging off to the side catching all the wind is the way to go. 10 is quite a bit more than 6, djl no? Haaa

Yes it is but you need to stay on topic.

Looking to do the same; when I ride in one direction, I have open roads and can keep temps tolerable but in another have stop n go traffic, etc ... and am looking to run a side fan cooled vertical cooler into my stock horizontal cooler to complete the cycle. Any problems with oil pressure? Are any special couplers, tubes or fittings required? If it's viable, I'm headed that route. Thanks for any feedback.

I have also remote mounted my oil filter which has added about 4' of supply and return lines and no issue with oil pressure. The plan is viable; nothing other than the hose and miscellaneous hardware is required; the fan will help.

My TriGlide with 255 Cams ran very hot. I added the digital oil temp dipstick, and in heavy traffic & heat, sometimes the oil hit 300 degrees, and averaged about 260. I replaced the stock oil cooler with the Jagg 10 row with fans, and added the then Wards fans. I wired both fans to the accessory switch, and turned them on manually. After these additions the oil temperature averaged about 245…and never went over 260.
