Check Engine and Oil Light M8 2020 FXST
Issue a couple of days ago on my 2020 FXST.
On the way from work.. entered the freeway.. picked up speed at 65mph. All of a sudden the motor started to stutter.. it started to lose power and speed. Downshifted to 4th gear at 45 mph. Check engine light turned on along with the oil light.
Exited and turned the bike off.. waited 5 minutes to restart.. started again but started coughing.. then it ran fine and got it home.
Called the dealer for service and arranged for them to pick it up.
Any of you guys had this problem before?

No experience with an M8, but if the oil light came on I would check the oil. And if the CEL came on I would check for codes. It's under warranty, but if I was out riding and the oil light came on I would check the level before restarting the bike and riding it home.
Years ago I worked at a BMW car dealer and we had a customer's car towed in. It was 6 months old and she ran it out of oil. When asked if the low oil light came on, she said it did but didn't feel like stopping. So, the motor was junk and she was out of luck. I hope it works out better for you.

Mine is old but it has gone thru 4 brake light switches. Some of Harley parts must be to the cheapest bider with no quality control. I finally went to a lifetime AutoZone hydraulic switch and Ebay micro switch for the front.
