Not sure what you are confused about but I'll jump back in. I know a lot of people that over think and sometimes it tends to make things more complicated than it needs to be. No offense to stats, spreadsheets and minor differences that a person will see on those sheets, most people that I've run into never get the most out of their engine anyway. Basically, to me, it's more about enjoying the ride than concerning myself with all that paper/stats stuff but to each their own. Just try to run good gas through your bike and enjoy the ride, works for me.

 

I been testing boostane. And it works you can what you want but it works . Then again I am 11.1 comp. I even tried it in my sons Honda crf50 and it rips.

 

Its easy the higher the octane number the harder it is too light off or combust. The engine only needs what it needs too keep knock (per-ingition) away. Elevation, Compression and Timing are your biggest issues.

 

I have 101 Octane available nearby. Too much for a 1200?

riiiiight....I don't need octane booster. I even have 11.44 to 1 compression 91-93 pump gas works just fine.

Not needed nor beneficial for your Stage I. The fuel management system can be tuned to take advantage of higher octane fuel, but unless it is you can actually lose power when using higher octane. I experienced this first-hand with my 2012 Camaro SS that was cammed and tuned. I was running 93 octane fuel and was tuned for 91. After speaking with my tuner he told me I was losing up to 20 HP by doing that. I then tuned it for 93 and ran it all the time.

My mods are in my signature. I am tuned for 91 octane and that's what I run. I do carry booster with me as I sometimes ride in rural areas where 91 isn't available, and I run whatever I can get and add the booster to offset it.

 

Yeah, it can, and does. Your butt tends to feel what you think it should feel. It's called confirmation bias.
