why no stage 4 kit for tri-glides ?

Unhappy why no stage 4 kit for tri-glides ?

howdy, anyone know why (according to the Harley catalog) that the stage 4 kit is not suitable for the M8 tri-glide ? have been trolling the net for ages and cant find any mention of it

Hi from the UK. I'm guessing, but I suspect the extra weight of the trike means the torque characteristics are not a good match. If you check on the USA H-D website Shop tab, those kits are only suitable for CVO Glides. I would have thought that a decent tuning shop should be able to come up with a suitable package, using aftermarket parts.

Not recommended because unlike a regular bike which would break the rear tire loose and burn rubber, a trike would, because of its dual drive wheels, tend to pop a wheelie which would cause you to lose steering and be dangerous.

Or it could be that HD decided not to persue the rigorous and expensive EPA approval for the stage modifications on the trike line.
