Default S&S 110 Kit

hi guys new to the forum here! I was seeing if anyone here is running the s&s110 kit on their bikes. Right now I have a street glide with the 103 with Vance and Hines X pipe and 4 in rineharts along with a heavy breather. I want to get more out of the bike and I was suggested by DAS Performance in town to upgrade to that kit. Said it was the best bang for the buck for what I am looking for HP and TQ. What are your thoughts on this and what did your bike dyno at? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

S&S makes the cylinders that Fuel Moto sells as their cylinders so you can look at what people have to say about those kits as well, since they are what they are. If your looking at price only take a look at the HD parts as well. Some pretty good prices there as well.

Now what really counts, what are you wanting out of your bike? That is the real question that needs to be answered before you start spending money.

I’m looking to be in the 110’s for HP and TQ but wouldn’t be opposed for more 😋 right now the 103 with what is done do it feels flat once it gets passed 4 grand. I want it to pull like a freight train all the way throughout the RPM range.

Do you ride the bike in the higher RPM range most of the time? Remember that you will trade higher RPM operation for a loss at low RPM's most of the time. There are plenty of good running 103's out there too. If your looking for 110 Hp changing the pistons to 10.2:1 and the proper camshaft will get you there for a lot less money. IMHO that would be the better way to go for what your looking for.

I like to hop on the throttle when I can! With the S&S kit with the 585 cams it looks like it had great lower end TQ continued throughout the range and the HP is climbing as well to. I usually ride the bike around 2500 around the area I go to. I want the bike to scream when I get on it but be reliable at the same time

Im running the s&s 110 power package with s&s 89cc heads and .030 cometic head gaskets. 120tq/122hp.

had to bump clutch to a AIM Variable pressure unit + stiff clutch spring.

runs like a bat out of hell.

Pulls across most of the range.

Even without the heads, it would have been above 110tq and pulled hard

Those are some really good numbers! That’s where I would like to be around. My brother has an R&R 106 and his bike is right around there and that bike screws. What are you using for an exhaust set up?

Awesome and very helpful. Question; It looks like the heads, while adding significant power in the mid/top range cost a little torque at lower rpms, is that accurate?

I can't really say. Did most of it at once. Here's the changes as the happened. Probablly a 125/125 bike but, i just doont feel like going 6 hours lol. ROI just isn't there.

it still not seen a professional tuner, the dyno in the link were done by the local dealership. Nearest tuner is 6 hours away.
