I've done this on my shovel with no ill affects,But I was wondering if anyone uses yamabond or hylomar gasket maker for their evo?
Is it worth it to gain some squish ?Cometic base gasket measured 0.018

If wanting to seal the base gaskets on an Evo, best to have the non-machined, as-cast bases, machined, that way they are (1)flat, and (2)perpendicular, to the bores.
Then with the use of a Cometic base gasket, you'll be leak-free.
We mount those in a lathe fixture here to perform that procedure.
