Default Who makes OEM crankshafts for Harley?

Hello – can anyone tell me who produces the original factory installed crankshafts for Harley? I know there are numerous aftermarket dealers but looking for the original OEM.

Appreciate any help offered.

This is what I thought.. They likely have someone forging the halves and rods but finish machining is likely done in house.. I know that crank assembly is as you can see is on youtube..

Wonder who's doing the cam now.. Comp cams has started selling TC cams.. Maybe the contract only restricted Comp cams from doing current production motors. If so the TC will be done this year..

You are correct. Machined in house by Harley. Forged in Detroit by AAM.

Their in-house machining/tolerances on the 2004's and 2007's was different than other years.

any doubts about OEM cranks can be easily fixed with a S&S F/W assy

Comp Cams has only supplied the SE cams never the OEM cams. From what I have been told HD is now grinding the SE M8 cams in house as they can be made on the equipment they have in house. The OEM M8 cams are still made by a out of house supplier as they are press lobe style cams.
