cvo 110 heads vs s&s 89cc superstocks (106-3240)
i have been going back and forth over heads. i am close to going the with the s&s 89cc heads but, they require s&s lower rocker box gaskets. i know i'm not going to be changing gaskets weekly.. but, i like being able to wander into a dealer on the road and them have what i need vs ordering stuff.
the other heads i've been staring at are run of the mill cvo 110 heads. most of the ones see floating around on ebay have compression releases. i don't even know if my bike has those but, hey.
any opinions on either?

I would agree also.. I wouldn't use either head unless you are going 117 or larger... Your absolute best bet is to pick a good head guy and have him help you with build choices.. Frankly, If you want to talk about it here, tell us what you plan to do to the motor.
With a 103, even up to a 110, I'd go with professionally ported stock heads. That is if I couldn't do them myself.

i hear you all on porting but, i don't want to do it as it is not sitting on a shelf in a dealer. i'm not going for max power. just more out of the box air without porting. porting is off the table for now. after the 3rd bike. i may revisit the idea.
i'm after off the shelf heads.
