Default Pushrods - standard or adjustable?

Wondering what's better? Seems like there's less room for error when using standard solid pushrods.

Less room for error yes, but with adjustable push rods you can set and adjust the amount of preload on the lifters (quieting some noisy lifters).

I always use adjustables when changing cams. Adjustment is straight forward, less engine disassembly, and I've never had a problem with them. They also make any lifter replacement down the road easier. So there are a number of positives.

With mild cams I prefer the stockers. Less parts to worry about. I had a locknut loosen on my adjustables and fortunately was almost home so I limped it. It sounded like a bucket of bolts by the time I shut it down, running on one cylinder.

Well, I do have adjustable ones now, just wondering since I have the top end open. Also, been running Andrews 37G cams.

Standards are the safe way but I like adjustables. As noted they have other benefits and the chance of a retaining nut loosening up is not as common as you would think...

Especially not when they are tightened properly!
