Should I replace anything on my "new" 2000 Dyna with no issues?
I just bought a very minty 2000 WG with 4,800 miles with no issues whatsoever (so far). But I was given the suggestion by a forum member to have work done on the cam and tensioner (with specifics) to prevent potential problems with them down the road because some 2000's have had problems and recalls. Any Dyna guru's out there have input on replacements on my bike? Or should I just ride her? Thanks!
With only 4800 miles the OEM tensioners shouldn't show much wear but are known to fail without warning. If you have the DIY skills, replace the OEM tensioner shoes with a set of CYCO shoes and ride worry free for 25K miles.
replace the tensioner with CYRO at a minimum, the OEM tensioners start causing damage from mile one.also ide do inner bearings & lifters.about 160.00 total to avoid 3 common problems that can be catastrophic if they fail

That's what I told him to do as well. It may also have a ball bearing on the out board side of the rear cam.
