I'll check the spring pack, I'm assuming there's a spec in the service manual somewhere.

In the meantime, here's a gratuitous beaver shot. Stock 46mm vs Screamin' Eagle 58mm throttle body.

Which reminds me...still need to order an air cleaner. And call HPI and figure out where my fuel injectors are...

Max should have any comp spec info. It's not in the manual and I bet most dealerships don't have it.

Definitely has some grooving on the splines though, deep enough to catch a fingernail in. Should I be concerned about this?

Looks great. I think I've thrown out the bad ones I had..

Last I talked to Larry, he seemed to like a 1.8 intake port on the stage 2+. I'd make sure the 58 has about the same sized port as whatever you have..

Larry knew I was running the SE 58mm, and I've verified the intake manifold lines up nicely with the intake ports.

Just catching up and liking the posts so far. Reindeer your 09 Comp isn't one with the oiling issues. That came with the "SE" comp which eventually became standard equipment on later year bikes. I never had any problems with my 09 either and upgraded to the 2014 style compensator while doing my build. Probably would have been fine leaving it alone.

Good to know. I'll happily reuse it then.

Here is a early comp with about 30K on it.. This was off a bagger. They get worked harder on a bagger..

Haven't made much progress in the last few weeks. Been busy with other projects, and was waiting for the cam sprocket spacer washer, to find out the parts guy didn't order the right one...and then learning that they had the kit of 5 Cvaria referenced earlier in stock the whole time.

After I got the cam drive chain on, I installed the new S&S premium lifters, and got the rear rocker setup installed, after installing the updated breather kit, Rockouts, and drilling out the drain holes. Adjusted and set the preload on the Fuel Moto pushrods. I also installed the SE intake manifold and HPI injectors.

Should be able to make some progress this week, hopefully I'll be hitting the start button next weekend.

Quit goofing around with these other projects, quit your job, stop answering the phone and let's get this beast running
