Default Oil for break in

What oil do you use for breakin on new 107 build?
Regular oil or Syn 3?
plan on changing it out at 300-400 miles

I break mine in on Dino oil. It's cheaper and given the initial frequent oil changes that makes sense. Old wisdom was to not use syn for break-in but I don't know if that's the current theory or not.

Àny 20/50 non synthetic oil.on my builds,i recommend changing oil every 300 miles up to 1000.then go to synthetic. Could be overkill,but its worked well for us for 35+years of engine building

That was what I used to break mine in.

Yup, Rotella in my motor the first 2 changes, 100 and 1000 miles. Then the syn of your choice

Any good quality 20W50 petroleum motorcycle oil.
We use/stock Spectro 20W50 here, and use/stock Red Line for our synthetics.
We are shop, that does this everyday, not an individual owner
