Default Dimensions of tappets/lifters needed please

Hi - I'm in the UK, and new to this forum. I confess I don't actually own a Harley, but I've ridden a few in the past. I'm hoping that some of you kind-hearted Harley owners out there will be able to help me out with some information.

I'm repairing a 1918 Dorman engine, which needs a set of roller lifters. I've been scouring the internet and found that some Harley lifters look close to what I need. The crucial requirement is that the roller is bigger than the lifter body and runs in a slotted guide block. I've found out that some EVOs and Ironheads have this type of lifter, but I can't find dimensions anywhere.

If anybody has the dimensions of any lifter that has the roller bigger than the lifter, or has a lifter of this type they can measure for me, I'll be very grateful. I'm looking for a lifter diameter of about 7/8", roller diameter about 1-1/8". Anything close to this can probably be made to work.

I'll need solid lifters with adjusters, but I should be able to modify hydraulic lifters to suit if needs be.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me with this. You'll be helping to keep a historic (WW1) narrow gauge locomotive running!

Hello old chap, from not so far away. My lifters are all safely tucked up inside their respective engines, however you have dealers and Harley specialists close by, where you can probably get your hands on one to check and measure. I'd start with an indy. Shaw H-D dealer are near Lewes, V-Twin Custom are at Rye, Beakys are near Dorking. Should get you rolling!

Have you tried contacting S&S, Crane or Comp Cams directly? Perhaps they have a product data sheet that you can reference.

Well there's a thing! It's a long shot, but there is a Bedford branch of the Locomotive Club of Great Britain, who may just have someone with some relevant knowledge?

I would guess that is #18538-99C, introduced in 1999 and still in use up to 2016, in the big twins, in other words twincams.
