What's the max lift for Harley factory ported heads? The book says 585, is that it or are they being conservative?
Some say .600" but it would be wise to check for coil bind before purchasing a .600" lift cam; factory tolerances leave a lot to be desired..... .510" lift was the factory max for the early pre '05 beehive springs but many ran .525" lift cams with those springs; go figure.
