Default Another cam chain tensioner.

I guess SnS wanted to get into cam chain tensioners..

Like the idea of the lube holes for the chains..

Easy sale of a part like that as the average rider can easily replace those.
Nuttin' wrong with the OE units.

Bigger piston and tighter fit to increase pressure ...that you then let off by letting the oil out onto the chain??!

............especially the ones prior designed/manufactured/marketed by others.
Not an S&S hater at all, quite the contrary, as we do a large volume with them, but have witnessed things that certainly make one raise their eyebrow.

I'm sure the engineers calculated a balance of inlet and outlet pressures to maximize efficiency.

I think these would be great if building from scratch and gears weren't used. I think the same about their 3 stage pump. I don't see everything in the aftermarket as just a replacement.

I wonder why S&S felt like they needed to put one on the market after all this time.

The company is a leader, not a follower.

Fixing a part that isnt broke! That said I put the Zippers tensioners in my chest. If I was installing their pump/plate id probably go with their tensioners as well.

Same here.. Not dissing the parts.. One has to question where it's needed tho.. 0.675 lift cam with chains.. Probably worth a try.
