Default Help, oil drip on clutch cable

Under the engine I have a small drip of oil showing up on the clutch cable. I wipe it down, the next day its there again. I put a new anti rattle clip on the lever and squirted cable lube inside the cable while apart. I also recently changed my Transmission fluid. Can't find the source of the drip?

What did you use to lube the cable? Could be over lubed and excess is just dripping out. Or it could be that the o-ring that seals the cable in the trans cover is not sealing. Probably not oil dripping but tranny fluid.

I used the HD cable lube and the oil drip seems like 20-50 tranny fluid. I bet it is the o ring.

Has your cable rubbed on the underside of the cam cover area?
Before wiping it off again, get s torch & check to see if you can follow the oil trail to where it starts.
How much oil did you put in the transmission?
