Default stock 5th gear slipping - whats a good 6 speed clutch upgrade besides stock - recommendations?

5th gear is slipping with clutch fully engaged and now 6th gear is starting to go, I would like to replace entire clutch on my 2011 FLHR - 6 speed Road King Classic, I just did a WOODS 555 cam upgrade and would like to go with a non-stock high performance 6 spd clutch.

what would any of you high performance gurus recommend? ...thx, Buck

AIM VPC or Bandit Sportsman. Just have to figure out clutch/spring combination for lightest lever pull with clamping capacity required to hold the motor.

Have you installed the SE spring?

no, everything is bone stock clutch wise except for the 6+ MAGNUM Black Pearl clutch cable I installed when I put on my 1¼ Santee mini-apes.

No need for a high dollar clutch upgrade. Assuming your current plates aren't burned up from the slipping, all you need is the SE spring or equivalent.

Bandit Sportsman if you have the cash. Good to 150hp but lever pull is like a stock clutch!

I would try the SE pressure plate first though. I think they are less than $30.

SE spring fixed mine from doing the exact same thing as yours before I did Andrews 57s and D&D Fat Cat. I can hammer it in 5th or 6th now and no slipping.

S/E or Barnett spring is all you need with your current set-up.

Another thought is to try the 340lb aim spring before going to the SE spring(380lb) if lever pull is a concern. It's likely that this hold just fine.
