Cost of engine work if I buy 2006 FXDL with 40,000 miles?

My 2003 has 35k miles and is running better than ever. But I have a good mechanic and have it serviced religiously . I had the SE Cam Chain Hydraulic Tensioner Upgrade done at 30 k.
***** you seem to be having a hard time finding a decent bike. Why don't you go to some dealerships and find a salesman you like, tell him what your looking for, and let him find you a bike?
If this bike has good maintenance records, pay a mechanic to check it out: http://toronto.craigslist.ca/mss/mcy/5595043044.html

2006 received the new cam chain tensioners so you should be good to go there.
I agree with the others that you can find a better deal on a bike though. Private party would be a better way to go unless the dealer offers some kind of warranty. I doubt that they would on an older bike like that though.
