Default How you can tell

Other than dealer Service dept info how you can tell at what stage is your bike, reason I ask is because I bought my 07 used and just by looking at it, it appears has Stage 1 because high flow air cleaner and V&H pipes

If you want to be 100% sure, disassemble the whole engine.

If your rev limit is over 5500 you have at least a Stage One. Rev limit is 6200.

Stock TC88 Softail had a rev limit of 6200, not 5500.

My stock 06 was set at 5500. When I got my PV tuner, pipes, and AC, the tune I got from FM and Dynojet pushed it up to 6200.

If there's no device connected at the ECM, which would be a piggyback tuner, then you still might have a flash tune. A dealer can link to your ECM and should be able to tell if it's stock or not, and if it was tuned, then maybe with which tuning system.

You can make a pull on a dyno, that should give you an idea . If there's more than just a stage I.
