Ah - Greenham Common?! Not so far from us, less than 100 miles. Cheers!

Agreed. I don't think a new build or motor should be broken in anywhere but the dyno.

Well it's a good thing I have an understanding wife.

If this one goes - I'll put the 96" in. Does HD dyno all of their motorcycles to break them in as well? I wonder why S&S doesn't stipulate the need for a dyno breakin.

The closest dynamometer would be 4.5 hours down the road. Lonewolf is 16.5 hours down the road.

Maybe I should splurge and by a dynamometer...

Do you run it for the full 1000 mile break in? At 60 mph that's 16h40m of labor. $2083 [wo tax] at $125/hour. If you did 500 mi @ 80 its - 6hr15m - $781. Unless you own your own. I think they're only $30,000

I plan on running the flight recorder for the first while on the break in. Also I like to do some pre-checks on the critical systems before I go. The fuel pump is a little more difficult to check. The O2 sensors should pick up a lean condition, and throw a code. There must be a test manifold to measure pressure and flow. Maybe I should get a gauge and a rotameter and check that prior to running. Throttle stepper motor / Throttle potentiometer should be alright, but I'll make a note to check them too.

You broke in your motor running 3/4 throttle? I thought most break in protocols are keeping off the throttle and the RPMs low?

Undeterred - 124 LC still coming.
