Questions about making a 106 with S&S 4.5" crank.
I have a 2006 RK with a 95" Big bore and SE heads.
I found a good deal on a S&S 4.5" crank that fits an early A motor.
Are the rods shorter on a 4.5 crank so any 103 piston will work?
Or, can I space the cylinders up .0625 so any 103 piston will work without
having too much piston protruding out the bottom of the bore at BDC?
I know I can go to 110 with a bigger bore and the 4.5, but I have SE heads with only a 78cc chamber (I think that's the chamber size) and I'm pushing things with flat tops and a 106 as is- probably too much compression for my Andrews 54's unless I can find some dished pistons to go with the 4.5 crank.
